Placing an Order

How to place an order

You can order by phone, fax or email or at www.tobar.co.uk. Once placed, we will hold goods for 30 days pending payment. Out of Stock items are placed on backorder. If placing an order over the phone you will be notified of this at the time of ordering. When ordering online, availability is shown along with the next delivery date. For credit account customers out of stock lines can be added to your basket as a backorder. Unfortunately proforma customers cannot place backorders online currently, so please get in touch with us if there are products you would like to place on backorder. For other methods we can confirm your order and availability via email and send you a proforma invoice if applicable. The proforma invoice will show the total to be paid. You will not be charged for out of stock goods.

RRP & VAT

Prices shown are ex VAT. Export customers ordering within the EU will be required to provide a VAT number, otherwise VAT will be charged at the current UK rate. If a recommended retail price is printed on an item we include it alongside the product description. As these items are commonly kits incorporating books, there is usually a reduced rate of VAT (UK) on the item, which we also provide.

New customer?

To set up an account please register on our website. Once registered, we will activate your account within 24 hours and send you a confirmation email. You can also e-mail or call us to request a trade account. First orders will be on a proforma invoice basis and must reach our minimum first order threshold exc VAT and carriage. There is no minimum on subsequent orders.

Payment

Proforma accounts must make advanced payment prior to us picking your order. Credit account customers will be invoiced and are required to settle invoices within 28 days. For further payment information please refer to our Payment Information page.

Backorders

Backorders will appear on your despatch note as ‘to follow’.

You will be notified of any backorders by the Tobar Scandinvia team and normal carriage rates apply.

Outstanding backorders will be cancelled after Christmas. If you wish to keep your backorders, please just contact us.
